Terran Tech Tree
If you want to win games as a Terran player you have got to learn the Terran tech tree. Which units are available at which structures. What upgrades can you get where.
The terran tech tree is perhaps the most involved structure in the game.
Maybe your scouting efforts reveal that your enemy has no anti air defense. This tells you to start pumping out air to ground units. You have to know which unit to get, how and where to build them.
Once you choose the Terrans as your race you need to spend time learning the Terran Tech Tree. Understand the structures and upgrades, which units come out of which buildings.
Pick a strategy you like and practice against the computer. Once it’s easy to beat on insane AI go over to battle.net for some 1v1 play.

Once you can quickly choose a tactic based on your scouting and know where to go to get the units that you need you are well on your way to mastering the Terrans. The ability to quickly transition to alternate tactics is what separates the contenders from the pretenders.
